How do you spot a genuine Aveeno tube versus a refilled copy?
When your package arrives, inspect the tube's outer seam carefully—authentic Aveeno packaging shows precise, even heat-sealing with no gaps or rough edges. The printed text on genuine tubes sits crisp and level; counterfeit versions often display blurry lettering or misaligned batch codes that feel slightly raised or uneven to your fingertip. Open the cap and smell the cream: the original has a mild, consistent scent, while refilled packs sometimes carry chemical odors from improper storage or mixing.
What is the right way to apply this cream, and how often should you use it?
Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin using gentle circular motions until the cream absorbs fully, typically taking one or two minutes. Most users find twice daily—morning and evening—effective for maintaining skin comfort, though you may adjust based on your skin's response. Begin with less product than you think you need; a little goes far with concentrated formulas, and overusing wastes the cream without improving results.
What should a first-time user expect in the first week?
Your skin may feel smoother within the first few applications, but noticeable improvement in very dry patches usually takes three to five days of regular use. Some users experience slight warmth or mild tingling during the first application—this is normal and typically subsides within minutes. Stick with your chosen routine for at least one week before deciding if the product suits you, since skin needs time to respond to new care products.
