How can you spot a genuine imported FT-J161B against a refilled or relabelled copy?
When you receive your Multiple Uses Hydraulic Chair from ShampooBD, the first thing to examine is the cylinder itself, which houses the hydraulic fluid that makes height adjustment possible. Genuine Furnitex imports arrive with a sealed, unmarked or factory-marked cylinder that shows no signs of tampering, discoloration, or leaking around the base valve. A refilled unit will often display circular scratches or tool marks around the cylinder cap, sticky residue on the metal body, or faint stains that suggest someone has opened and refilled the chamber with inferior fluid.
The model number FT-J161B should appear clearly stamped or engraved on the base plate or rear backrest, not printed on a sticker that peels easily or looks recently applied. Check the welds on the base frame for consistency and professional finish—counterfeit versions often show rough, uneven welds or paint that drips into seams. The hydraulic lever or button mechanism should operate with smooth, controlled resistance; if your chair drops suddenly, hisses, or feels sluggish after one or two uses, the cylinder has likely been refilled with water-based fluid instead of genuine hydraulic oil. Authentic imports from Furnitex include packaging that lists the importer's name and contact details clearly printed, not handwritten or obscured.
What is the correct way to use this hydraulic office chair for daily work?
Your Multiple Uses Hydraulic Chair is designed to support you through extended periods at a desk, and using it properly ensures the hydraulic system remains reliable over months and years of regular adjustment. To raise the seat, locate the lever beneath the cushion or the button on the armrest (depending on your specific unit), press firmly, and lift your body weight slightly while the mechanism responds; do not jerk or bounce, as sudden movement can strain the hydraulic seal. To lower the seat, engage the same lever or button and allow gravity to do the work while you guide the descent at a controlled pace rather than releasing suddenly.
Adjust the height so your feet rest flat on the floor and your thighs are parallel to the ground when seated; this posture minimizes strain during long work sessions. Avoid rotating the seat while it is raised to its maximum height, as twisting places uneven stress on the cylinder and base. The 360-degree swivel is intended for reaching different areas of your desk without standing, not for spinning continuously as a fidget activity. Keep the base wheels clear of obstacles and check monthly that no debris has collected around the hydraulic cylinder where the seat post enters the base.
How often should you adjust the chair height, and what should a new user expect in the first weeks?
A new user receiving their FT-J161B should expect the hydraulic mechanism to feel slightly stiff on the very first day, as the fluid inside the cylinder has not yet warmed to room temperature and may have minor air bubbles from transport. After three to five days of normal use, the lever or button will become noticeably smoother and more responsive as the hydraulic oil reaches its proper working viscosity. Most owners report that the chair performs identically in week two and beyond, with no further changes in feel or operation, which is the sign of a properly sealed and filled unit.
You may adjust the height anywhere from twice daily to once per week depending on your work patterns and how your body responds to different positions throughout the day. Some users prefer to set the height once in the morning and leave it unchanged, while others adjust several times daily to accommodate standing meetings or different tasks. Neither approach harms the chair, provided each adjustment is made smoothly without forcing the lever or applying sudden impact. If after two weeks of regular use you notice the seat sinking gradually or refusing to hold your chosen height without readjustment, contact the seller immediately, as this signals a hydraulic seal failure that falls within the warranty period.
What type of user is this chair designed for, and who might need a different option?
The FT-J161B is built for office workers, remote employees, small business owners, and anyone who spends four or more hours daily seated at a workstation without special physical requirements. Teachers using it in staff rooms, receptionists at modest-sized practices, accountants processing paperwork, and students studying from home all find this straightforward design meets their needs. The chair excels when your primary concern is stable seating at a fair price, because it delivers reliable height adjustment and a sturdy base without premium ergonomic features.
This model is not designed for users who require specialized lumbar support, medical-grade posture correction, or chairs with memory foam and mesh ventilation systems. If you have chronic back pain, existing spinal conditions, or spend more than eight hours continuously seated, consult with a healthcare provider about whether a more specialized seating option might better suit your body's needs. The FT-J161B is also not rated for users exceeding the manufacturer's weight capacity, which you should verify before purchase if you are uncertain about your weight relative to the chair's specifications. Users in very hot, humid environments should note that the black finish and standard upholstery are not specifically engineered for tropical climates, though they perform acceptably in most Bangladeshi office conditions.
What assurance do you have about the price shown on this page and delivery charges?
The price displayed at the top of this product page is the current cost for your Multiple Uses Hydraulic Chair, exactly as ShampooBD charges for this item, with no hidden markups added at checkout or surprise fees introduced during payment. Delivery charges are calculated and shown separately in your cart before you confirm your order, allowing you to see the full amount you will pay including transport to your address anywhere in Bangladesh. ShampooBD sources this chair directly from Furnitex, the official importer, which means you avoid middleman costs that inflate prices at retail showrooms across the city. When you order, your chair ships via standard nationwide courier service, and you will receive tracking details so you can monitor its progress. You have the option to pay cash on delivery if that suits your preference, making the transaction straightforward and transparent from start to finish.
Should you be wary of extremely low prices for this exact model elsewhere online?
If you encounter listings for the FT-J161B at prices significantly lower than what ShampooBD displays, investigate carefully before committing, because extremely discounted imports often signal refurbished stock, water-damaged units, or chairs with recycled cylinders that have been refilled with non-standard fluid. A suspiciously low price is frequently paired with vague importer details, missing warranty cards, or sellers who cannot provide batch information or import dates. Legitimate importers like Furnitex maintain consistent pricing across their distribution network, so wildly varying prices for the identical model should raise questions about the product's origin and condition.
Refilled hydraulic cylinders are substantially cheaper for unethical sellers to stock than genuine sealed units, and they pass the cost savings to buyers who do not know what to inspect. The initial weeks might seem fine, but within a month the inferior fluid begins to break down, causing slow leaks, loss of height-holding power, and eventually complete failure of the adjustment mechanism. Rather than chase a bargain that may prove false, purchase from ShampooBD with confidence that you are receiving an authentic Furnitex import backed by proper warranty coverage and the assurance that your chair will perform as designed.
