How do I know this pack is genuine Heinz?
Authentic Heinz biscotti arrives in a sealed foil pack with clear printing, sharp edges on the box, and a hologram or security strip on the back—counterfeit versions often have blurry text, loose seals, or missing safety features. Check that the manufacturing date and batch code are embossed or printed cleanly, not handwritten or smudged. Open the pack immediately and smell the biscotti; a genuine product has a mild chocolate aroma, while refilled packs sometimes smell stale or off.
When should my baby eat these, and how many pieces?
Offer one or two pieces during meals when your baby is sitting upright and ready to self-feed, typically around lunchtime or breakfast. Your baby will naturally chew and gum the biscuit as it softens, which helps strengthen jaw muscles—do not rush the process. Most babies enjoy one piece per day to start; watch for any signs of choking and always stay present while your child is eating.
What should I expect the first time my baby tries it?
Your baby may take several minutes to finish one piece, as the biscotti dissolves slowly in their mouth and is designed for that slow exploration. Some babies embrace it immediately, while others prefer to watch and learn over a few days before tasting. Follow your health worker's guidance when introducing any new food, and stop if your baby shows discomfort or unusual reactions.
