What is the TIGER Car Remote Controller Lock-Unlock?
The TIGER Car Remote Controller Lock-Unlock is a universal remote device designed to work with most car models. It allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle doors from a distance using a wireless remote control. This product is particularly useful if you have lost your original car key remote, need a spare, or want a backup control system for your vehicle. The device is straightforward to install and operates on a simple wireless frequency that communicates with your car's central locking system.
This remote controller is built to be durable and weather-resistant, making it suitable for Bangladesh's climate where humidity and temperature variations are common. The compact design means it fits easily in your pocket or bag, and the buttons are large enough to use comfortably even when wearing gloves or in low light conditions.
How to Identify a Genuine TIGER Remote from a Counterfeit
When purchasing a TIGER Car Remote Controller, it is important to know how to spot a genuine product. Authentic TIGER remotes come in proper packaging with clear branding, a serial number, and user instructions. The casing should feel solid and well-fitted, with no loose parts or rough edges. Genuine units have consistent button resistance—they should click smoothly without being too stiff or too loose. If the packaging is damaged, faded, or the text appears blurry or misaligned, this is a red flag.
- Check the serial number on the package and ensure it matches any documentation provided
- Authentic TIGER remotes have a weight that feels appropriate—counterfeits are often noticeably lighter or heavier
- Look at the LED indicator light; on genuine units it should illuminate brightly and uniformly
- Verify that all buttons have the same texture and finish; uneven or sticky buttons suggest a fake
- Original packaging should have professional printing with no spelling errors or grammatical mistakes
How to Install and Use Your TIGER Remote Controller
Before you begin installation, read the user manual that comes with your TIGER remote. The installation process typically involves accessing your car's interior panel near the steering column or dashboard to locate the central locking module. You will need basic tools such as a screwdriver and possibly a trim removal tool. If you are not comfortable working inside your car's dashboard, we recommend seeking help from a qualified mechanic or car electrician.
Once installed, programming your TIGER remote is usually simple. Most models require you to turn your car's ignition on and off in a specific sequence while holding the remote button—the exact sequence will be detailed in your manual. Test the remote by standing at different distances from your car to ensure the signal is strong. Keep your remote away from extreme heat, moisture, and direct sunlight to maintain its lifespan. Replace the battery when the remote stops working at normal range, typically every 12 to 18 months depending on usage.
Safety and Compatibility Considerations
The TIGER Car Remote Controller Lock-Unlock is designed as a universal device, but compatibility varies by car make, model, and year. Older vehicles and some luxury brands may require additional configuration or may not be compatible at all. Before purchasing, if possible, verify your car's make, model, and manufacturing year with the seller or refer to the product manual's compatibility list. Installing an aftermarket remote should not disable your original car key or interfere with other electrical systems if done correctly.
Keep your remote secure and treat it like you would an original car key. If your remote is lost or stolen, it cannot unlock your car unless the thief also has access to your vehicle's interior locking mechanism. For security reasons, if you suspect your remote has been compromised, have a qualified mechanic reset your car's central locking system. Always ensure that whoever installs your remote follows proper electrical safety practices to avoid damaging your car's wiring.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Regular maintenance of your TIGER remote will extend its working life. Keep it clean by wiping it gently with a dry cloth; avoid using water or harsh chemicals. If the remote becomes wet, dry it completely before using it again. Check the battery compartment periodically for any signs of corrosion, and replace the battery as soon as the remote's range decreases noticeably. When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent any potential leakage.
- If the remote stops working, first replace the battery with a new one of the correct type
- If one button works but others do not, the remote may need programming again—consult your manual
- If the remote has no range at all, check that your car's central locking system is functioning and that the remote was installed correctly
- Do not attempt to open the remote casing yourself unless you have experience with electronics
- If problems persist after troubleshooting, contact the seller or a qualified car electrician for assistance
