How can you spot a genuine Shiseido Fino bottle from a refilled copy?
When your package arrives, examine the bottle's seal before opening anything else. A genuine Shiseido Fino arrives with an unbroken factory seal around the cap and neck, with crisp edges and consistent adhesive along the entire perimeter. Check that the label print is sharp and even, with no fuzzy edges, misaligned text, or colour variations where Japanese and English text meet.
Look closely at the batch code and manufacture date printed on the bottom and back label. These should be deeply embossed or laser-printed, not faded or hand-stamped, and the font must match Shiseido's standard size and spacing. A refilled bottle often shows signs of tampering around the cap base, loose labelling, or a seal that was peeled and re-glued—compare the seal edge with a photo from Shiseido's official website if you are uncertain.
What is the correct way to use this shampoo and how often should you wash?
Wet your hair thoroughly, squeeze a small amount onto your palm, and massage it gently into your scalp and hair length until you build a light lather. Rinse completely with clean water until all soap residue is gone and your hair feels smooth, then pat dry gently without aggressive rubbing.
Most people shampoo two to three times weekly depending on hair type and lifestyle, though you may adjust based on how your hair feels after each wash. First-time users should expect a light, clean sensation and improved shine over the first two weeks as your hair adapts to the formula's conditioning blend.
How long does this 550ml bottle last and where should you keep it?
A 550ml bottle typically lasts four to six weeks for a single person using it two to three times per week, or two to three weeks for a household of four with regular washing routines. Store the sealed bottle upright in a cool, dry spot away from direct heat or sunlight, such as a bathroom cabinet or shelf, and always close the cap firmly after each use.
Once opened, this shampoo remains fresh for several months if you keep moisture and steam away from the bottle and avoid leaving the cap loose. Do not store it in areas where water splashes frequently or where humidity stays very high, as excess moisture can affect the formula over time.
