How can you spot a genuine Revlon ColorSilk pack versus a refilled one?
A real imported Revlon ColorSilk Beautiful 55 arrives with sealed, factory-fresh components that bear consistent printing quality and sharp product imagery. Check that the color cream tube has an intact, tamper-evident seal and the developer bottle shows no signs of previous opening or mixing residue inside the cap. Counterfeit or refilled packs often display blurry text, misaligned labels, or a slightly different shade of packaging color compared to authentic stock.
What is the correct way to apply this shade, and how often should you color?
Begin by doing a patch test behind your ear twenty-four hours before full application to check for any sensitivity to the formula. Mix the developer and color cream in the provided bowl using the applicator brush, then work the mixture through dry, unwashed hair in sections, starting from the roots and moving outward. Leave the color processing for the time stated inside your box instructions, rinse thoroughly with cool water, and use the conditioner included to seal the color into your strands.
What should first-time users of shade 55 expect in terms of results?
Light reddish brown delivers a warm, medium-toned finish that appears most vibrant on naturally blonde or pre-lightened hair, with more subtle results on darker bases. Your first application establishes the base tone, and you may notice the shade continues to settle and deepen slightly over the first few days of washing. If your hair is very dark, expect a gentler shift in tone rather than dramatic transformation; a second application after several weeks often produces fuller color depth.
