How can you spot a genuine imported wheel set from a counterfeit or refurbished pack?
When your caster wheels arrive from Furnitex, the packaging itself tells you whether you have received an authentic imported set directly from the Chinese manufacturer or a repackaged imitation. Genuine wheels come in clean, unmarked boxes with printed labels showing the importer's details, batch information, and clear manufacturing dates, whereas counterfeit versions often arrive in damaged boxes, have blurry or hand-written labels, or show signs of the packaging having been opened and resealed with tape or glue along the edges.
The wheels themselves should feel uniform in weight and texture, with consistent stem lengths and smooth plastic surfaces free of chips, discoloration, or rough casting marks that suggest they have been used before and refurbished. Genuine imported wheels from Furnitex maintain consistent branding on each wheel, proper locking mechanisms that engage with a clean click, and stems that are straight and unbent, whereas refilled packs often contain mixed wheels of slightly different sizes or wear patterns, stems that are bent or scarred from previous installation, and locking levers that feel loose or grinding rather than crisp and responsive.
What is the correct way to install these wheels, and how often should you check them?
Installing your new caster wheels requires no tools and takes only minutes if you follow the straightforward process of first rotating your office chair upside down or tilting it so the base wheels are accessible and visible. Grip each old wheel at its stem, twist gently side to side to loosen it, then pull straight out from the wheel socket with steady pressure, making sure you do not force or bend the socket opening, which would prevent proper fitment of the new wheels and compromise their rolling quality over time.
Once the old wheels are removed, align each new wheel stem directly with its socket opening, position it straight, and push firmly but smoothly until you feel it seat fully into place with a slight resistance that tells you the stem is properly inserted and will not slip out during normal chair movement. You should check your wheels every three to six months by spinning each one by hand to confirm it rotates freely without grinding sounds, testing the lock mechanism to ensure it engages and releases smoothly, and visually inspecting the stems for any visible cracks or the wheel surface for excessive flat spots that would indicate replacement is becoming necessary.
What should a first-time buyer expect when rolling on these wheels for the first time?
When you first use your new caster wheels, you will likely notice that the rolling sensation feels noticeably smoother and quieter than your previous worn wheels, with less resistance as you move your chair across carpet, tile, or hardwood flooring, and this improved glide is normal and expected because these wheels are manufactured with precision ball bearings that move freely compared to older or damaged wheels that accumulate dust and flattening over months of use.
The locking feature will respond to a gentle downward tap or pressure on each wheel, engaging smoothly without requiring forceful stomping or repeated attempts, and you may need to experiment briefly to find the exact pressure point on your specific chair base, but within one or two uses this becomes second nature and requires no conscious thought. Your chair should remain stationary when locked and roll easily when unlocked, making your workspace feel more controlled and intentional during work sessions without the subtle frustration of a slowly drifting chair that distracted you previously.
Are there any office environments or chair types where these wheels might not perform well?
These universal fit wheels are designed for standard five-stem wheel sockets that are found on the vast majority of modern office chairs purchased and used throughout Bangladesh, which means if your chair uses an unusual bolt-down fastening system, a proprietary wheel design specific to a particular brand, or non-standard sized sockets that are significantly larger or smaller than typical, you should verify compatibility before ordering by examining your current wheels and measuring the stem diameter to confirm it matches standard dimensions.
Additionally, if your office chair base is damaged, cracked, or has wheel sockets that are stripped or enlarged from repeated wheel changes over many years, the new wheels may not fit as securely as they should, which would require professional assessment or socket repair before installation to ensure your chair operates safely and does not allow the wheels to slip unexpectedly during normal use.
Why do office chair wheels wear out so quickly compared to the rest of the furniture?
Caster wheels endure constant movement, weight distribution changes, and rolling friction against various floor surfaces every single day, which causes the plastic and bearing components to gradually flatten, crack, and lose their smooth rolling properties far more rapidly than the stationary parts of your chair frame that experience minimal mechanical stress or repeated contact with floor surfaces over time.
Rather than disposing of an otherwise functional office chair simply because its wheels have deteriorated, replacing only the wheels with this five-piece set extends the useful life of your furniture investment by several years, restores the mobility and stability you expect from a quality chair, and costs substantially less than purchasing an entirely new chair while using far fewer resources and materials in the process.
What delivery process should you expect, and how should you inspect your order upon arrival?
Your order will be processed and shipped according to the standard delivery timeline shown during checkout, and you should expect your wheels to arrive in protective packaging that safeguards them during transit, with the importer's details and batch information clearly visible on the box exterior so you can verify authenticity before opening and beginning installation.
Upon receiving your package, inspect the exterior box for signs of damage, verify the importer name matches Furnitex, check that all five wheels are present and undamaged by carefully opening the packaging and examining each wheel for the manufacturing details and consistent quality described in this listing, and contact customer service immediately if you discover any wheels are cracked, missing, or appear to be used stock rather than new inventory from the original manufacturer.
