How can you tell if this imported gaming chair is genuine and not a refurbished or relabelled unit?
When you receive your FT-Tectonic 001 gaming chair from Furnitex, the first thing you should examine is the original factory packaging and all included documentation, as counterfeit or relabelled chairs often arrive in damaged boxes or with photocopied instruction manuals that show signs of wear. Genuine imported units from Furnitex come with intact Furnitex branding on both the box and the chair frame itself, featuring clear serial numbers and batch codes that match across all components, whereas refilled or relabelled packs typically have inconsistent printing, faded logos, or stickers that appear to have been applied after manufacture.
The 4D armrest mechanism on an authentic chair should move smoothly in all four directions—up and down, forward and backward, left and right, and rotational movement—without grinding sounds or resistance, and the upholstery stitching around the armrest base should be tight and even rather than loose or uneven. Check that the slate blue colour is uniform across the entire seat and backrest with no fading, discolouration, or evidence of previous use, and verify that the gas cylinder (the pneumatic lift under the seat) has no dents, rust, or leakage around its base, as these signs indicate the chair has been previously owned or poorly handled during transit.
What is the correct way to use this gaming chair and adjust it for your body?
Your FT-Tectonic 001 gaming chair is designed to support you during extended sitting sessions, and you should begin by adjusting the seat height so that your feet rest flat on the floor with your knees bent at approximately ninety degrees, then use the 4D armrest controls to position each armrest so that your elbows sit at the same height as your desk surface when your arms are relaxed at your sides. The reclining backrest should be adjusted by finding the tension control mechanism on the chair's side, which allows you to set how firmly the backrest responds when you lean backward, and you should choose a tension level that supports your back without requiring excessive force or collapsing too easily under your weight.
Once you have positioned the armrests, seat height, and backrest tension, spend the first hour or two in your chair at normal sitting posture to ensure all adjustments feel stable and comfortable, then make fine adjustments to the armrest angles if you notice any strain in your shoulders, elbows, or wrists during typical desk work or gaming. The slate blue upholstery will feel slightly firm when new, and this is normal; regular use over the first two to three weeks will allow the padding to settle and conform more closely to your body shape, resulting in a more personalised fit as the chair ages.
How frequently should you use this chair and what should first-time gaming chair users expect during the first month?
If you are upgrading from a standard office chair or wooden seat, you may notice that your back and neck feel different during your first few days of use with the FT-Tectonic 001, as your body is adjusting to a chair with proper lumbar support and a reclining backrest rather than a rigid, upright design. This adjustment period is completely normal and typically lasts between one and three weeks, during which you should avoid spending more than four to five hours continuously in the chair without standing up and moving around, as even the best-designed seating position benefits from regular breaks and changes of posture throughout your day.
Over the first month of ownership, use the chair daily during your normal work or gaming sessions, as frequent adjustment and varied sitting positions will help the padding settle evenly and allow you to discover which armrest and backrest configurations work best for your particular body shape and desk setup. You should expect the upholstery to show minor wrinkles or creasing in areas where your weight rests most heavily, and this is a sign that the padding is conforming to your body rather than a defect; these wrinkles typically become less pronounced as the material continues to age and stabilize, and they do not affect the chair's structural integrity or your comfort during use.
Is this gaming chair suitable for people with existing back or joint problems?
The FT-Tectonic 001 is a general-purpose gaming chair designed for comfort during extended sitting, and it is not a medical device or therapeutic chair prescribed for treating pain or correcting existing spinal conditions, so if you have a history of back problems, chronic pain, or joint issues, you should consult with a healthcare professional or physiotherapist before choosing this chair as your primary seating solution. While the adjustable armrests and reclining backrest allow you to find positions that feel comfortable for your body, the chair's ability to support your specific medical needs cannot be guaranteed, and a professional assessment of your seating requirements is more reliable than general product features.
People who sit for fewer than two hours per day at a computer, or those who require specialized ergonomic features beyond standard adjustment mechanisms, may find that a general gaming chair does not fully meet their needs, and they should explore options specifically designed or recommended for their situation. Similarly, if you are very tall (over 190 centimetres), very heavy, or have significant postural asymmetry, the standard sizing and adjustment range of this chair may not accommodate your body type comfortably, so measuring yourself against the chair's specifications or testing the chair before purchase is advisable.

Why might imported gaming chairs sometimes carry counterfeit component parts even if the main frame is genuine?
Some sellers in Bangladesh source gaming chairs from Furnitex or other legitimate importers but replace certain components like armrests, wheels, or gas cylinders with cheaper counterfeit alternatives before reselling, meaning the main chair frame might be authentic while critical moving parts are not, and these inferior replacement components often fail within weeks or months of use, causing the armrests to become stuck, the wheels to jam, or the gas cylinder to leak. You can protect yourself by purchasing directly from authorized sellers like ShampooBD, verifying Furnitex branding and serial numbers on all major components before accepting delivery, and requesting clear photographs of the chair's components during the ordering process if you have concerns about parts authenticity.
The FT-Tectonic 001's 4D armrest system is the most frequently counterfeited component because replacement armrests are inexpensive to manufacture but difficult for untrained users to distinguish from genuine parts until they begin to malfunction, so you should test the armrest movement immediately upon receipt, ensuring that each direction of motion (vertical, horizontal, and rotational) operates smoothly without grinding, squeaking, or stiffness that suggests low-quality materials or poor assembly. Genuine Furnitex components will have consistent stitching, secure attachment points, and smooth mechanical operation, whereas counterfeit armrests often exhibit visible glue residue, uneven stitching, or loose fasteners that can be spotted during a careful visual inspection before you fully assemble or begin using the chair.
