ELAF DIGITAL SAFETY LOCKER (FT-60Q) costs ৳67,496 in Bangladesh. It is in stock and ships cash on delivery nationwide from Shampoo BD.
How can you tell if your imported ELAF Digital Safety Locker is genuine and not a refilled or relabelled unit?
When you receive your ELAF FT-60Q from an authorised importer like Furnitex, the first thing you should examine is the outer packaging, which should show no signs of tampering, creasing that suggests the box has been opened before, or misaligned printing that might indicate relabelling. The hologram or security sticker, if present, should feel raised and three-dimensional rather than flat, and the serial number printed on both the box and the unit itself must match exactly and appear crisp and clearly printed without any fading or re-inking marks that would suggest alteration.
Inside the box, you will find documentation including an instruction manual and warranty card printed on quality paper with sharp text and colours that are consistent and vibrant, not dull or bleeding into one another as they would in a poor photocopy. The unit itself should feel substantially made with even gaps and secure joints, and any metal components should show consistent finish without rust spots, discolouration, or rough welding seams that indicate a refurbished rather than new product brought in by Furnitex through official channels.
What is the correct way to install and use your ELAF Digital Safety Locker for the first time?
Before you attempt to open or operate your new ELAF FT-60Q, you should read the complete instruction manual that came in the box, as this will give you detailed steps specific to your unit's model and the features that Furnitex has imported for the Bangladeshi market. Place the locker on a level, stable surface away from moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme heat, and ensure that the area around it allows you to open the door fully without obstruction, which will make daily use safe and convenient for accessing your valuables whenever you need them.
Your first step should be to check that all batteries are installed correctly according to the manual, then test the locking mechanism several times without storing anything, so that you become familiar with how the digital keypad responds to your touch and how firmly you need to press the door to ensure it closes and locks completely. Once you feel confident with the basic operation, you can then store your valuables inside, remembering to keep a written record of your chosen access code in a secure place outside the locker itself, as this will protect you if you forget the code or need to access the locker in an emergency.
How often should you use and maintain your digital safety locker to keep it working well?
Your ELAF FT-60Q is designed to be used daily, and there is no limit to how many times you can open and close it, so you can access your valuables whenever you need without worrying about wearing out the mechanism, provided that you treat the unit with normal care and do not force the door or strike it heavily. Regular maintenance involves wiping the exterior with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints, checking that the door closes smoothly and that the locking bolt moves freely, and testing the keypad periodically to ensure that all numbers are responding correctly to your touch without sticking or becoming unresponsive.
Every six months, you should check the battery level of your digital locker and replace the batteries when they become low, using only the battery type specified in your manual so that the electronic locking system functions reliably and your valuables remain secure. If you notice any rust, corrosion, or difficulty with the locking mechanism, you should contact the authorised service centre for your region rather than attempting repairs yourself, as this will preserve the integrity of your unit and the security of anything stored inside.
What should a first-time user of a digital safety locker expect in the first week of ownership?
When you first begin using your ELAF Digital Safety Locker, you may notice that the electronic keypad takes a moment to respond to your touch, and this is completely normal and does not indicate a fault, as the system is designed with intentional delays to prevent accidental multiple entries if your finger touches a button more than once. You might also find that you occasionally forget your access code in the first few days as you establish the habit of using the locker regularly, which is why keeping a backup written record in a separate secure location is so important for your peace of mind and to prevent lockouts that would require professional assistance to resolve.
The locking mechanism may feel slightly stiff when you first use it, as this is protective engineering rather than a defect, and within one to two weeks of regular opening and closing, the door will move more smoothly as the internal components settle into their working positions. You should also expect that adjusting to a new security routine will take time, and it is normal to double-check that the locker is locked after you close it, as this careful habit will become automatic and will increase your confidence that your valuables are protected when you are away from home or sleeping.
Who should not use an ELAF Digital Safety Locker, and are there any restrictions on what can be stored inside?
A digital safety locker is not suitable for storing items that are sensitive to temperature or humidity changes, such as certain medications, film, or delicate electronics, unless your home environment is naturally stable and you monitor conditions regularly with a thermometer and humidity gauge to ensure they remain within safe ranges. You should also not store perishable food items, liquids, or anything that could leak or spoil, as the interior is not sealed against spillage and any damage to the contents will be your responsibility rather than covered by any warranty.
If you have young children in your home, you should keep the access code confidential and stored away from places where children might find it written down, and you should supervise their use of the locker to prevent them from storing inappropriate items or becoming trapped inside, which would be a safety hazard. Additionally, do not store anything that is extremely valuable or irreplaceable such as original documents without keeping a certified copy elsewhere, as no locking device can guarantee absolute security against all forms of theft or damage, and you should consider additional insurance or safekeeping measures for items of significant worth or sentimental value.
