How can I spot a genuine bottle from a refilled fake?

Real Coconut Merchant bottles arrive sealed with intact labelling and a secure cap that shows no signs of tampering. Check that the label printing is crisp and the batch code matches the manufacturer's format—blurry text or misaligned stickers are red flags for relabelled counterfeits. Open the cap and smell the oil; authentic raw coconut oil has a natural, fresh coconut aroma without chemical or musty odours.

How should I use this oil and how often?

You can apply a small amount directly to skin after bathing, use a teaspoon in warm drinks, or massage it through your hair two to three times weekly. First-time users may notice the oil feels thick at room temperature and solidifies in cool weather—this is normal for raw, unrefined coconut oil. Start with modest amounts to see how your skin and scalp respond over the first two weeks.

What should I do when my bottle arrives?

Inspect the seal and bottle exterior immediately for cracks, leaks, or damage sustained during delivery before you store it. Verify the expiry date on the label and keep the bottle in a cool, dark place away from heat and sunlight once you bring it home. Tighten the cap firmly after each use and your 500ml bottle will stay fresh for several months.
