Office Chair Commercial Furniture Mesh (FT-H898) Black costs ৳6,157 in Bangladesh. It is in stock and ships cash on delivery nationwide from Shampoo BD. It was previously ৳7,654.
How can you spot a genuine imported mesh office chair from a counterfeit or refurbished one?
When your FT-H898 arrives from our Furnitex import channel, the original packaging should display clear printing with consistent ink density and properly aligned text across all sides of the box. Counterfeit versions often show smudged logos, misspelled brand names, or stickers that appear hastily applied over damaged cardboard, whereas authentic imported chairs arrive in professionally sealed boxes with shrink-wrap that has no tears or punctures from prior opening. The serial number plate affixed to the base frame must be riveted firmly in place rather than glued, and the mesh backing fabric should feel uniformly textured without worn patches, discoloration, or fading that would indicate previous use or refurbishment from returned stock.
Inside the box, all metal components including the cylinder, armrests, and wheel casters should demonstrate consistent chrome or powder coating with no rust spots, scratches that expose bare metal, or manufacturing debris stuck to the surfaces. The mesh panels themselves should be taut across the backrest frame without sagging, bunching, or loose stitching at the seams, which would be telltale signs of a relabelled chair that has already served time in another office. Genuine Furnitex imports include a complete parts inventory list printed on the inside of the box lid, not pasted as an afterthought, and every single component mentioned on that list should be present and accounted for before you close the box again.
What is the correct way to use this commercial mesh office chair for maximum comfort and durability?
Your FT-H898 mesh chair performs best when you adjust the seat height so that your feet rest flat on the floor with knees bent at approximately ninety degrees, allowing your thighs to sit parallel to the ground without pressure points against the front edge of the seat cushion. Before you begin working, spend two minutes testing the backrest recline mechanism by gently leaning backward to ensure the tension adjustment knob is set to a firmness that supports your spine without either excessive stiffness or uncontrolled movement, then check that the armrest height allows your forearms to rest at elbow height while your shoulders remain relaxed and not hunched upward. The wheels should roll smoothly across hard flooring or low-pile carpet, so test movement in all directions after assembly and apply a small amount of light machine oil to the wheel axles if you notice any squeaking or resistance during normal use.
Mesh backing material requires that you avoid leaning heavily against the chair frame itself or allowing sharp objects to contact the fabric, as punctures in the mesh cannot be effectively repaired and will gradually enlarge with continued use over weeks and months. Position your chair at a distance from radiators, air conditioning vents, and direct sunlight, since extreme temperature swings and prolonged UV exposure will cause the mesh to become brittle and lose its original flexibility and support characteristics. Clean the mesh surface monthly using a soft brush or cloth to remove dust accumulation that can clog the weave and reduce airflow, which diminishes the ventilation benefit that makes mesh backing appealing for extended sitting sessions during your workday.
How frequently should you use this chair and what should a first-time user expect during the initial weeks?
The FT-H898 is engineered for continuous daily use in professional office environments, meaning you can sit in this chair from morning until evening without concern that extended periods will damage the mechanism or compromise the structural integrity of the frame and backrest. During your first two weeks of use, you may notice that the seat cushion feels slightly firmer than expected because the foam has not yet compressed to match your body contours, but this is normal behavior and the padding will gradually soften through regular daily sitting until it reaches an equilibrium point that provides sustained comfort throughout your workday. The wheel casters may initially roll with slightly more resistance than they will after a few weeks of movement, as the bearing surfaces wear in and achieve optimal smoothness, so do not interpret this as a sign of defective equipment.
First-time users often find that the mesh backing takes several days to become familiar, since the texture and weave pattern feels different from solid fabric or leather padding and requires a subtle adjustment period before your back adapts to the new support geometry. The backrest recline mechanism will feel responsive from day one, but you should gradually experiment with different tension settings over the course of your first week to discover the precise firmness level that suits your personal preferences and spinal alignment, because this adjustment happens through trial and observation rather than through any dramatic change in the chair's behavior. If you share the chair with colleagues or family members, each person may wish to adjust the seat height and recline tension independently, so the chair will accommodate these variable preferences without complaint or need for maintenance intervention.
Is there anyone who should avoid using this particular office chair model?
The FT-H898 is designed to accommodate typical adult body weights and proportions found in standard office workspaces, and individuals who exceed the maximum weight rating specified in the assembly manual should choose an alternative chair model that is explicitly rated for higher weight capacity, as exceeding the design limits can cause failure of the cylinder mechanism and may result in sudden collapse. People with severe mobility limitations or those requiring specialized ergonomic accommodations such as tilting bases, lumbar support systems, or motorized adjustment features will find that this commercial-grade chair offers basic functionality but not the specialized engineering found in medical-grade seating, so consultation with an occupational therapist may be advisable before purchase. Users who suffer from conditions that are aggravated by sitting in standard mesh-backed chairs, such as certain skin sensitivities or pressure-related discomfort, should test a similar chair model in person if possible before committing to this purchase, since mesh backing creates different pressure distribution patterns compared to padded or solid-back alternatives.
Does the price shown on this page include delivery charges to your location?
The price displayed on this product page represents the cost of the chair itself as imported and prepared by Furnitex, but does not include the separate delivery charge that will be calculated based on your specific geographic location within Bangladesh and the current shipping rates available through our courier network. When you proceed to checkout, the system will request your delivery address and then display the additional charge for shipping the packaged chair to your home or office, allowing you to review the total cost including delivery before you finalize your payment method and confirm your order. Cash on delivery service is available throughout most regions, meaning you can inspect the package upon arrival and pay the full amount due only after confirming that the chair and all components have arrived in acceptable condition without damage from transit.
Standard nationwide delivery typically requires several working days after payment confirmation, depending on the courier route and local conditions, so plan your timeline accordingly if you need the chair installed before a specific date or event. If you select a payment method other than cash on delivery, your order will be processed and dispatched more rapidly, and tracking information will be provided so you can monitor the package's progress toward your address throughout the shipping period. Keep your receipt and this product page reference handy until the chair is unpacked and you have verified that everything matches the contents list, as this documentation will be necessary if you need to initiate a return or address any issues during the applicable window following delivery.
What maintenance and care should you perform to keep this mesh chair in good working condition long-term?
Weekly cleaning using a soft cloth slightly dampened with plain water will prevent dust and debris from accumulating in the mesh weave, where particles can become trapped and create visible discoloration that becomes increasingly difficult to remove as time passes. The wheel casters benefit from occasional inspection to ensure no hair, thread, or fabric fibers are wrapped around the axles, and a few rotations of each wheel by hand can dislodge most common obstructions that may develop during normal office use in carpeted areas. Every few months, test all adjustment mechanisms including the height cylinder, backrest tension knob, and tilt lock lever to confirm they operate smoothly without squeaking, grinding sounds, or resistance that might indicate developing mechanical wear requiring attention before serious malfunction occurs.
The mesh backing should never be cleaned with harsh solvents, bleach, or abrasive scrubbing pads that can damage the fabric weave and cause permanent staining or weakening of the material structure. Store the chair in a climate-controlled indoor space rather than outdoors, in basements, or in areas prone to dampness, since prolonged exposure to humidity can promote mold growth in the mesh and foam padding while temperature extremes cause expansion and contraction that stresses the frame and fasteners. If you notice any loose bolts or fasteners during routine use, tighten them gently with the appropriate wrench size rather than waiting for them to work completely free, as this simple preventive maintenance will extend the operational life of the chair significantly compared to chairs that are neglected until obvious problems force urgent repair or replacement.
