How can you spot a genuine imported Mesh Office Chair from a counterfeit or repackaged one?
When your Mesh Office Chair (FT-940N3E) arrives from Furnitex, the first thing you should examine is the packaging itself, which tells you whether you have received an authentic imported product or something that has been refilled into an old box. The original packaging from the Chinese manufacturer will show consistent printing quality, with sharp text and logos that do not appear faded or misaligned, and the box edges will be sealed with proper industrial tape rather than carelessly wrapped with multiple layers of household tape.
Inside the box, check that all components—the mesh backrest panel, the seat cushion, the legrest, and the base frame—arrive wrapped in protective plastic film and cardboard spacers that prevent movement during transit. If you find pieces loosely packed or already assembled when they should arrive disassembled, this suggests the chair has been previously opened and repackaged. Genuine Furnitex imports include a warranty card or documentation bearing the importer's stamp, which counterfeit versions often omit entirely or provide with obvious printing errors.
What should you look for regarding manufacturing dates and condition upon delivery?
The frame of your Mesh Office Chair should bear a manufacturing date or batch code, typically printed or etched near the base where the five wheels connect, and this code should be legible and match any documentation that accompanied your purchase. You have the right to inspect the chair before accepting delivery, checking that the mesh backrest is evenly stretched without wrinkles or tears, that all adjustment mechanisms move smoothly without grinding sounds, and that the legrest extends and retracts properly without resistance.
Any visible scratches, dents, or discoloration on the frame or base should be noted immediately, as genuine imported stock arrives in clean condition from the factory. If the seat cushion bears stains or the mesh shows signs of previous use, you should refuse the delivery and contact ShampooBD to arrange a replacement, because Furnitex's import batches come to you in unused condition.
How should you assemble and position your office chair for maximum comfort during your workday?
Once you have verified authenticity and condition, begin assembly by placing the five-wheeled base on a clean, level floor, then carefully slide the central pneumatic cylinder (the metal tube that raises and lowers the seat) into the opening at the center of the base until you hear or feel a click indicating it has seated fully. Position the seat cushion over the cylinder, aligning the mounting holes, and secure it using the bolts provided, tightening them in a cross pattern to ensure even pressure rather than tightening one bolt completely before moving to the next.
Slide the backrest frame onto the seat frame, matching the alignment pins, and fasten according to the assembly instructions, then test that the backrest reclines smoothly and locks into position at your preferred angle. When you settle into your chair, your feet should rest flat on the floor with your knees bent at approximately ninety degrees, and your arms should rest on the desk surface with elbows also at roughly ninety degrees, positioning the legrest so that you can extend your legs without straining your lower spine or lifting your bottom from the seat cushion.
How often should you use the legrest, and what adjustments might you need to make over your first weeks of use?
The legrest on your FT-940N3E is designed to be used whenever your legs feel fatigued or whenever you need to shift your sitting position during long periods at your desk, and you should not feel obligated to use it continuously but rather deploy it as relief becomes necessary. During your first week, you may find that the pneumatic cylinder settles slightly, causing the seat height to drop a centimeter or two, which is normal and does not indicate a defect; simply readjust using the height lever until the seat returns to your preferred position.
As you grow accustomed to the chair, you will discover your ideal recline angle and legrest deployment frequency, and these personal preferences mean that no two users will operate the chair identically. The mesh backrest may feel firmer than fabric alternatives during the first days, but this firmness serves to support your spine properly, and the sensation will feel increasingly natural as your body adapts to the ergonomic positioning that the chair's design provides.
What type of work environment or user situation makes this chair less suitable?
If you work in a space where your chair will be exposed to direct water spray, high humidity environments like commercial kitchens, or corrosive chemical atmospheres, the mesh and metal components may deteriorate more rapidly than in standard office settings, and you should consider this chair suitable only for dry indoor spaces. Users who require specialized medical support for particular spinal conditions or injuries should consult with a healthcare provider before adopting any office chair, as while this chair provides general ergonomic support, it is not prescribed equipment for therapeutic purposes.
The legrest adds convenience but means the chair occupies slightly more floor space when the legrest is deployed, so if your workspace is extremely confined or shared with multiple people rotating through positions, you should confirm that the extended legrest does not create obstacles or traffic hazards before purchase.
What is the delivery process and how does the price shown on this page relate to what you will pay?
