How Can You Be Sure This Chair Is Genuinely Imported and Not a Refurbished Copy?
When you receive a Hydraulic Chair FT-J166-B in black from Furnitex, the first thing you should examine is the packaging condition and factory sealing, because counterfeit or locally refilled versions often arrive in damaged boxes or with signs of tampering that suggest the chair has been used before. Look carefully at the hydraulic cylinder underneath the seat—genuine imported units from Furnitex show clean welding lines, consistent paint finish, and smooth operation from the very first press of the lever, whereas refurbished chairs often display worn paint, loose bolts, or hydraulic fluid residue that indicates previous use and improper storage.
The decal or branding on the backrest frame should be crisp and permanent, not faded or peeling at the edges, which is a reliable indicator that you have received an original factory-sealed unit rather than a repackaged chair that has circulated through multiple hands, and the casters should roll with consistent smoothness without any wobbling or resistance that would suggest wear from prior office environments.
What Is the Correct Way to Adjust the Seat Height and Maintain Proper Posture?
Your Hydraulic Chair FT-J166-B works through a simple lever mechanism located on the right side underneath the seat cushion, and you should sit down fully in the chair before pressing this lever downward with your hand or pressing it with your leg from the side, because the chair is designed to lower smoothly only when your body weight is distributed across the seat pan. Once you have reached your desired height and released the lever, the hydraulic system locks into place automatically, holding your position steady throughout your workday without any adjustment tools or effort required from you.
When positioning yourself at your desk, your elbows should rest at approximately the same height as your desk surface, your feet should touch the floor completely, and your back should rest against the backrest with a slight natural curve in your lower spine, because this alignment prevents strain during extended sitting sessions and supports your body's natural posture over many hours of work.
How Often Should You Adjust Your Seating Position Throughout the Day?
Your body benefits from repositioning every sixty to ninety minutes, and since your Hydraulic Chair FT-J166-B allows you to make these adjustments without standing up or using tools, you should feel encouraged to change your seat height slightly whenever you shift tasks or feel initial fatigue settling into your lower back or shoulders. Small movements throughout your day—lowering slightly when you work on documents and raising slightly when you type at keyboard level—maintain better blood circulation and reduce the stiffness that builds up when you remain in a single position for too long.
If you find yourself adjusting the chair more than three or four times daily, this is entirely normal and healthy behavior, and the hydraulic mechanism on a Furnitex-imported unit is designed to withstand hundreds of these daily adjustments without degradation or loss of pressure over the months and years of regular office use.
What Should a First-Time User Expect When They First Sit in This Chair?
When you first open and use your Hydraulic Chair FT-J166-B, the seat cushioning may feel slightly firmer than you anticipate, because the padding is engineered for durability and sustained support rather than soft initial comfort, and this firmness softens gradually over two to three weeks of regular use as the foam materials settle and conform more closely to your body shape and weight distribution patterns.
You may also notice slight resistance in the hydraulic lever during your first few uses, which is completely normal and indicates that the sealing is intact and working properly, because the hydraulic fluid inside requires a brief adjustment period before it reaches optimal flow consistency, and this resistance will diminish noticeably within the first week as you use the chair daily during your work routine.
Who Should Reconsider Purchasing This Chair and Look for Alternative Options?
Your Hydraulic Chair FT-J166-B is engineered specifically for standard office environments and daily desk work, so if you require specialized seating for medical recovery, physical therapy, or unusual body dimensions, you should consult with appropriate professionals before purchasing, because this chair is manufactured as a general-use office solution and may not accommodate specialized needs that fall outside typical workplace seating requirements.
Similarly, if you work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations, excessive moisture, or chemical exposure, this chair's materials may not perform reliably over time, and if you anticipate needing height adjustment to exceed the range that this model provides, you should verify the maximum and minimum seat heights against your specific desk setup before committing to this purchase, because exchanging an unsuitable chair after delivery creates unnecessary inconvenience.
