ELAF DIGITAL SAFETY LOCKER (FT-L80D) costs ৳76,960 in Bangladesh. It is in stock and ships cash on delivery nationwide from Shampoo BD.
How can you tell if your ELAF locker is genuine and not a refurbished unit?
When you receive your ELAF Digital Safety Locker FT-L80D from ShampooBD, the first thing you should examine is whether the outer packaging bears clear markings from Furnitex, our authorized importer, alongside the original ELAF manufacturer branding and serial number details. Genuine units imported through proper channels will have intact factory sealing, crisp printing on all labels, and no signs of previous opening or repackaging that might suggest the unit has been used before or had its internal components replaced with inferior alternatives.
The digital lock mechanism itself should feel smooth and responsive when you test it, with no grinding sounds or loose components visible through any inspection gaps, and the metal exterior should show consistent finish without patchy discoloration, rust spots, or areas where paint appears thinner than others, all of which would indicate either age or prior use that a counterfeit seller might conceal through relabelling.
What should you do before you first lock away your valuables in this unit?
Before you place anything precious inside your ELAF locker, you need to read through the manufacturer's instruction manual that comes with your genuine imported unit, paying special attention to the sections about setting your master code and understanding the backup access procedures that exist in case you forget your chosen combination. Testing the digital lock several times with the factory default settings, then resetting it to your own secure code, ensures you understand exactly how the mechanism responds and that no components are malfunctioning before you trust it with irreplaceable items or important documents.
You should also inspect the interior shelving, any included dividers, and the locking bolts to confirm that everything moves freely and that the storage space suits the size and shape of what you plan to keep inside, because once you have sealed your valuables away, you will want complete confidence that the locking and unlocking cycle will work consistently every single time.
How often should you test the digital lock to keep it functioning reliably?
The safest approach is to test your locker's digital locking mechanism at least once every month by entering your code, confirming the bolts retract smoothly, closing the door, and then opening it again with your code, a routine that takes only a few minutes but alerts you immediately if any wear or malfunction begins to develop. This monthly check is your early warning system, because any grinding sounds, slow bolt movement, or codes that fail to register should prompt you to contact customer service before the problem worsens and leaves you unable to access your stored items.
Seasonal changes in humidity and temperature, which Bangladesh certainly experiences, can affect electronic components over time, so treating this monthly test as a non-negotiable habit means you will catch issues while they are still minor and easily remedied rather than discovering a serious fault only when you urgently need to retrieve something from inside.
What can you expect during your first weeks of owning this digital safety locker?
When you first start using your ELAF FT-L80D, you may notice that the digital keypad requires a fairly firm, deliberate press on each number button, which is actually a sign of quality construction designed to prevent accidental or partial presses from triggering incorrect codes. The locking mechanism itself may feel slightly stiff at first, especially if you live in a drier climate, but this will ease within the first few uses as the metal components settle and the internal lubrication distributes itself evenly throughout the mechanism.
You should expect that memorizing your chosen master code takes a bit of intentional practice over the first week or two, and you must write that code down separately and store it in a location that is completely separate from the locker itself, such as in a safety deposit box or with a trusted family member, because there is no override access if you genuinely forget your code and lose your backup record. Resist the temptation to choose obvious number combinations, because the security of your locker depends entirely on your code being known only to you and your designated backup keeper.
Where should you position your locker for maximum security and function?
Your ELAF Digital Safety Locker performs best when placed on a level, stable surface away from direct sunlight, extreme heat sources, or areas prone to moisture and condensation, because while the unit is built to resist normal household conditions, extended exposure to damp environments or temperature extremes can gradually affect the electronic components that power the digital lock mechanism. A bedroom closet, office corner, or secure interior wall space is far preferable to a basement, ground-floor corner during monsoon season, or anywhere near windows where rain splash or humidity fluctuates dramatically throughout the day and night.
You should also position the locker in a location where you can access it fairly regularly without awkward stretching or bending, because your monthly functionality tests and occasional use of the locker should feel like a natural, easy task rather than something that requires you to contort your body or climb to an unsafe height. If you anticipate that the locker will remain sealed for months at a time without any testing or use, inform customer service about this planned storage scenario so that you can receive guidance about any preparatory maintenance steps that might be wise for your specific situation.
What happens if your locker arrives with a problem or if you want to return it?
ShampooBD stands behind every ELAF Digital Safety Locker FT-L80D that comes through our inventory, and should your unit arrive with a non-functioning digital lock, visible damage to the casing, or missing components that are listed in the manufacturer's documentation, you should contact our customer service team with photographic evidence and your proof of purchase within the timeframe specified in our return policy, which you must review before completing your order. We will either repair your locker, replace it with a functioning unit, or process a refund according to the terms and conditions that govern all purchases made through ShampooBD.
Keeping your original packaging, all documentation, and your purchase receipt is essential for any warranty claim or return request, because these documents prove both the date of your purchase and the fact that the unit is a genuine import from Furnitex rather than a used or refurbished locker that may have changed hands before reaching you. If you are unsure about any aspect of our return process or the shipping charges that apply to a return, please reach out to our team before opening your package.
