How Can You Be Sure This Imported Locker Is Genuinely From Furnitex?
When you order an ELAF Digital Safety Locker (FT-L700) from ShampooBD through Furnitex, you are receiving a unit that has been imported directly into Bangladesh for resale, and it is important that you understand how to confirm its authenticity before you open and install it. The genuine imported pack will arrive sealed in its original factory packaging with clear printed labeling that shows the manufacturer's name ELAF, the model number FT-L700, and details about the country of origin and Furnitex's import documentation or sticker placed visibly on the outer box. You should examine the packaging closely for any signs of previous opening, resealing with different tape, or mismatched printing, as these are common indicators that a unit has been refilled into a secondhand casing or relabeled to appear new when it is actually a returned or reconditioned item.
The digital keypad and electronic components on a genuine unit will show consistent manufacturing quality, with no loose buttons, uneven lettering on the keys, or visible signs of previous use such as worn paint or scratches on the locking mechanism itself. Inside the box, you should find an instruction manual, a battery compartment cover, and any cables or accessories that match the documented contents listed on the outer packaging, whereas counterfeit or refurbished packs often arrive incomplete or with mismatched components that do not align with the official product specifications. If you receive a unit that shows signs of tampering, missing documentation, or inconsistencies between the outer packaging and the physical locker itself, you should contact ShampooBD immediately to report the issue before you attempt to power it on or use it.
What Is The Correct Way To Set Up And Operate Your Digital Safety Locker?
The ELAF FT-L700 operates through a digital keypad interface that allows you to create a personal access code of your choosing, and the setup process requires you to follow the manufacturer's instruction manual step by step to avoid locking yourself out or triggering the unit's emergency override system unnecessarily. Begin by ensuring that the locker is positioned on a flat, stable surface or mounted according to the guidelines provided in the manual, as an unstable installation may prevent the door from closing properly or cause the locking mechanism to become misaligned over time. Once the unit is in place, you will need to power it on using either the standard electrical connection or battery backup system, depending on which variant of the FT-L700 you have received, and you should test this power supply before you place any valuable items inside to confirm that the digital display responds correctly.
To create your personal access code, follow the initialization procedure outlined in the manual, which typically involves pressing a designated sequence on the keypad and entering your chosen numerical code twice to confirm it has been registered accurately. When you wish to open the locker, you simply enter your code on the keypad, press the confirmation button, and the electronic locking mechanism will release, allowing you to swing the door open and access your stored items. You should test the locking and unlocking process several times immediately after setup to ensure smooth operation and to familiarize yourself with the feel and response of the keypad before you rely on it for securing valuable documents or personal belongings.
How Often Should You Perform Maintenance And What Battery Care Requires Your Attention?
The digital safety locker is a relatively low-maintenance device, but it does require periodic attention to its power supply and electronic components to ensure that it continues to function reliably over months and years of regular use in your home or office environment. You should check the battery terminals and connections at least once every three months if your unit operates on battery backup, cleaning away any corrosion or dust that may accumulate around the terminals with a dry cloth, and you should replace the batteries according to the manufacturer's recommended schedule or whenever the digital display begins to show dimming or flickering that suggests the power level is dropping.
Beyond battery maintenance, you should keep the exterior of the locker clean and dry by wiping it down with a soft, slightly damp cloth at least once per month, avoiding any harsh chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials that could damage the casing, the keypad coating, or the internal electronic components if liquid seeps inside through worn seals. Test the locking mechanism by opening and closing the door every month or two without entering your code, simply to confirm that the mechanical components are moving smoothly and that the locking bolt engages properly when the door is closed, as this simple test can alert you to developing problems before they prevent you from accessing your stored items.
What Should A First-Time User Expect During The Initial Days Of Ownership?
When you first receive and set up your ELAF Digital Safety Locker (FT-L700), you may notice that the keypad requires a slightly firm but deliberate pressure when you press each button, as the electronic sensors beneath the keys are designed to register only intentional presses and to ignore accidental light touches that could trigger unintended unlocking attempts. The door may feel slightly stiff when you open it for the first time, particularly if the unit has been stored for several days, but this normal resistance typically eases after a few opening and closing cycles as the hinges and locking mechanism adjust to active use. You should not force the door if it feels stuck, as excessive pressure could damage the locking mechanism or the electronic components, so instead allow the unit to sit powered on for an hour and try again, as sometimes the internal solenoid requires time to reach full operational responsiveness after being inactive.
The sound that the locker makes when the electronic lock engages after you have pressed the confirmation button may sound different from what you expect if you have owned traditional mechanical safes in the past, producing a quiet electronic click or buzz rather than a mechanical clunk, and this quieter operation is completely normal and indicates that the solenoid is functioning properly. Many first-time users find that they need to keep their access code written down in a separate secure location until they have memorized it through repeated use, so choose a hiding place for your written code that is known only to you and is not kept near the locker itself.
Are There Any Situations Where This Locker May Not Be Suitable For Your Needs?
The ELAF FT-L700 is designed primarily for residential and small office use, and it may not provide sufficient security for commercial environments where high-value inventory is stored, or for locations where extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity levels could potentially affect the reliability of the electronic components over extended periods of time. If your space is subject to direct exposure to rain, saltwater spray, or other corrosive environmental conditions, you should either select a different storage solution or take additional protective measures such as covering the locker or housing it within a weatherproof enclosure, as the unit's casing is constructed for indoor use and prolonged exposure to moisture or corrosive elements will eventually compromise the electronic system. This locker is not suitable for storing items that require climate control such as certain medications, vinyl records, or photographs, as the sealed compartment cannot regulate temperature or humidity independently from the surrounding room.
You should also be aware that if you forget your access code and the unit does not have an accessible override mechanism or backup power system, you may need to contact the manufacturer or seek professional assistance to regain access to your stored items, a process that could be time-consuming and costly, so establishing a secure backup method for storing your code in advance is strongly recommended. The locker's effectiveness depends entirely on the strength of the access code you create, so you should choose a code that is not easily guessable and that you do not share with others unless absolutely necessary.
What Does The Pricing Include And How Are Delivery Charges Determined?
The price displayed on this product page reflects the cost of the ELAF Digital Safety Locker (FT-L700) as imported and made available through ShampooBD, and this price includes the unit itself along with any documentation and components that arrive in the original factory packaging from the manufacturer. Delivery charges are calculated separately based on your delivery location within Bangladesh and the current shipping rates, and you will see the exact delivery cost displayed in your shopping cart before you confirm and pay for your order, allowing you to review the total expense and decide whether to proceed with the purchase or adjust your order quantity.
The price shown represents fair market value for an imported unit that has been brought into Bangladesh through Furnitex, and you should compare this price with other retailers only after confirming that you are comparing genuinely imported new stock with the same model number and original packaging, as counterfeit or refurbished units offered at significantly lower prices may not provide the security and reliability you expect from this locker.
