Electric Height-Adjustable Elevating Desk (FT-Y100) White Brown Top costs ৳34,944 in Bangladesh. It is in stock and ships cash on delivery nationwide from Shampoo BD. It was previously ৳43,680.
How can you tell this is a genuine imported desk from Furnitex and not a counterfeit?
When your FT-Y100 arrives, the packaging itself should bear Furnitex's official branding and the import certificate details printed clearly on the outer carton, not stuck on as an afterthought with poor adhesive or faded ink that suggests reuse of older boxes. Examine the motorized control panel on the desk's underside or side frame, where you will find a manufacturer serial number and batch code etched or printed with professional quality, not handwritten or applied with markers that could have been added by unauthorized dealers looking to pass off inferior locally-assembled imitations.
Open the instruction manual and verify that it matches the FT-Y100 model number throughout, with proper printing quality, complete English text, and contact information for Furnitex rather than generic Asian suppliers, because counterfeiters often include manuals photocopied from legitimate packs or translated poorly with machine tools that introduce obvious errors and inconsistencies you would spot immediately upon careful reading.
What should you inspect when the desk first arrives at your home?
Before you even begin to unpack the components, run your hands along all four edges of the packaging box and check for signs of water damage, crushing, or rough handling that might have compromised the motor unit inside, because the electrical mechanism is the most delicate element and damage sustained in transit could create safety hazards or prevent smooth operation once assembly is complete.
Once unpacked, lay out each component on a clean floor and verify against the contents list provided, ensuring that the motorized central column, the control unit, all leg brackets, and the hardware pack containing bolts and washers are all present before you commit any time to assembly, because missing components discovered halfway through setup lead to frustration and potential delays in getting your workstation operational.
How do you assemble this desk correctly and what electrical requirements must you have?
The FT-Y100 requires a level, stable floor surface and a nearby electrical outlet within reach of the power cord without the need for extension cables that could create tripping hazards in your workspace or result in reduced power delivery to the motor mechanism that needs consistent voltage to function properly and safely throughout daily use.
Follow the assembly sequence outlined in the manual step by step, tightening all bolts firmly but not over-tightening them to the point where you risk cracking the frame, and verify that the height adjustment motor responds smoothly when you activate the control panel before placing any monitor, keyboard, or heavy office equipment on the tabletop surface, since a functioning test run confirms that your assembly was done correctly and the desk is ready for regular work.
What adjustments and maintenance routines should you perform regularly?
Your new desk arrives with the ability to move between different heights electronically, and you should cycle through the full range of motion several times in your first week to ensure all mechanical connections are secure and the motor is operating without unusual sounds, vibrations, or hesitation that might indicate assembly issues requiring correction before the warranty period expires.
Every month, take a few minutes to walk around the desk and visually inspect all the bolted connections at the leg joints and frame intersections, checking whether any have loosened slightly due to the natural vibration that occurs whenever the height adjustment motor activates, because keeping these connections snug prevents wobbling, extends the life of the motorized components, and maintains the structural stability you depend on when you are seated and working at the desk.
What weight limits and surface care practices do you need to follow?
The desktop surface with its white and brown finish can accommodate a reasonable working load of office equipment such as monitors, keyboards, desk lamps, and personal items, but you should consult the specifications documentation to understand the exact weight capacity and never exceed it with heavy machinery, server equipment, or industrial tools that were never intended to be supported by furniture designed for standard office environments.
Treat the tabletop with the same care you would give any finished wood or composite surface in your home, wiping spills promptly with a soft cloth, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight that could fade the brown tone or cause the white frame to yellow over time, and refraining from placing very hot objects directly on the surface without protective coasters or trivets, since the finish is not designed to withstand extreme heat or moisture that might warp the underlying material.
Who should not purchase this desk and when should you unplug it?
This is an electrically powered piece of office furniture designed for adult workers in standard indoor environments, and it should not be positioned in damp basements, near active water sources, or in spaces prone to flooding or condensation that could corrode the motor components or create electrical hazards that endanger anyone using the desk or handling its controls.
When you know you will not be using your workspace for several days or during extended periods such as holidays or office closures, simply unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to prevent unnecessary electrical consumption and to minimize any theoretical risk from a motor that has no reason to be powered when nobody is working at the desk, thereby extending the overall lifespan of the electrical system and demonstrating responsible energy use in your home or office setting.
