How can you spot a genuine NOW Foods bottle from a counterfeit relabelled pack?
Counterfeit omega-3 supplements often arrive in reused bottles with printing that looks slightly off or faded under harsh light. Check that the label text is sharp and even, the ingredient list matches NOW Foods' standard format, and the batch code on the back aligns perfectly with the cap sealing area. If the softgels inside appear discoloured, stick together, or smell strongly fishy beyond normal fish oil scent, the bottle may have been refilled rather than factory-sealed.
What is the correct way to take this supplement and when should you expect results?
Take one softgel daily with food to aid absorption, ideally at the same time each morning or evening to build a steady routine. First-time users may notice nothing obvious for two to four weeks because omega-3 supplements work gradually in your body rather than producing immediate effects. Consistency matters more than timing, so choose whichever meal fits your schedule best and stick with it every single day.
How should you store this bottle to keep the softgels fresh and effective?
Keep your NOW Foods bottle in a cool, dark cupboard away from kitchen heat, direct sunlight, and bathroom moisture that can degrade the softgels over time. Seal the cap tightly immediately after removing your daily dose, and never leave it open on the counter where air and humidity enter. A bedroom shelf or pantry away from appliances works far better than the bathroom or a window ledge where temperature and humidity fluctuate constantly.
- Each softgel delivers 500mg DHA with 250mg EPA from marine fish oil source.
- Ninety softgels per bottle provide approximately three months of daily supplementation.
- Verify seal integrity and batch code upon arrival to confirm genuine product.
