How can you tell if your imported FURNITEX chair is genuinely from the manufacturer?
When your FURNITEX FT-G1 arrives from our warehouse, the first thing you should examine is the factory seal on the box itself, which should show crisp printing with no smudging or uneven ink application that would suggest the box has been opened and resealed before reaching you. The Furnitex branding on both the box exterior and the chair frame itself must match exactly in color and font weight, and any counterfeit or refilled version typically displays slightly faded lettering or inconsistent spacing between letters that a genuine imported pack would never have. You will notice that the glossy orange finish on an authentic FT-G1 has a uniform sheen across the entire chair body, whereas refurbished or relabelled chairs often show patchy areas where the original finish has worn through or been hastily recoated. Inside the box, the instruction manual should be printed on substantial paper with clear photographic diagrams, not photocopied sheets, and the serial number on the manual must match the sticker on the chair's base frame exactly, character for character. If you receive your chair and any of these details appear inconsistent, contact us immediately with photographs, as this would indicate the seller has not handled genuine stock.
What should you know before setting up your new gaming chair for the first time?
Your FURNITEX FT-G1 arrives disassembled in a single box, and you will need approximately twenty to thirty minutes and a basic Phillips head screwdriver to complete the assembly, which involves attaching the five-point caster base to the seat pan and then securing the backrest column through the central mounting point that runs through the seat. Before you begin assembly, clear a large flat space where you can lay out all the components and hardware, then verify that you have received all parts by checking the packing list, including the five casters with their wheel assemblies, the gas cylinder that controls height adjustment, and the tilt mechanism that fastens beneath the seat pan. Once assembled, you should test the height adjustment by pressing the lever beneath the seat to ensure smooth upward and downward movement, rotate the 4D armrests through their full range to confirm they move freely in all directions without grinding sounds, and spin the chair base slowly to verify that all five wheels roll smoothly without catching or binding.
How often should you adjust the armrests and what positioning works best?
The 4D armrest system allows you to modify the height, width, forward-backward positioning, and rotational angle, and you should perform these adjustments once during your initial setup session to match your specific desk height and your natural sitting posture, rather than making constant micro-adjustments throughout each day. The ideal positioning occurs when your upper arms hang naturally from your shoulders with your elbows bent at approximately ninety degrees while your forearms rest on the pads, which means the armrest height should align with your desk surface or sit slightly below it depending on whether you prefer your wrists elevated or neutral. After you have set your armrests to this comfortable position, you may leave them unchanged for weeks or months, and only readjust if your desk setup changes, if you add or remove cushioning, or if you notice yourself adopting a new sitting habit that feels uncomfortable.
What should a first-time gaming chair user expect during the first week of use?
During your first three to five days of using the FURNITEX FT-G1, you may notice that the padding feels slightly firmer than you anticipated, which is completely normal for new furniture that has not yet molded to your body shape, and this firmness will gradually soften as the foam and fabric materials settle and compress with regular use. You might also detect a faint chemical smell from the synthetic materials and padding, which is typical of newly manufactured furniture and will dissipate within three to seven days of normal ventilation, especially if you keep a window open near your workspace or allow the chair to air in a well-ventilated room. Some users report that the glossy orange finish attracts fingerprints and dust more visibly than matte finishes, so you should expect to wipe down the chair frame periodically with a dry or slightly damp cloth to maintain its appearance, and this maintenance actually prevents dust buildup rather than creating extra work.
Who might find this chair less suitable for their needs?
If you are significantly taller than six feet two inches, the backrest height of the FURNITEX FT-G1 may not provide support to the upper portion of your shoulders and neck in the way that extra-large specialty chairs do, and you should carefully consider whether the standard dimensions match your body proportions before purchasing. Users who prefer minimal visual presence in their workspace may find the bold glossy orange finish too prominent for subtle interior design schemes, as this color choice is deliberately eye-catching and will draw attention rather than blend into darker or neutral backgrounds. Anyone with severe mobility restrictions or who requires assistance transferring to and from a chair should consult with a mobility specialist, as the height adjustment range and seat pan depth are designed for independent operation and may not accommodate all accessibility needs.
