How can I spot a genuine Dr. Althea pack from a refilled fake?
Authentic Dr. Althea Pure Retinol 0.15% Cream arrives with intact sealing on the tube and crisp, clear printing on the label with no smudging or misalignment. The batch code and expiry date should be laser-printed sharply, not handwritten or blurry, and the tube itself feels substantial with consistent weight throughout. If the seal shows signs of being opened, reglued, or the label appears lifted or re-applied, the product has likely been refilled with cheaper cream and resold—reject it immediately and contact us with photos.
What amount should you apply, and how often when starting out?
Use only a grain-of-rice sized amount on clean, completely dry facial skin, applied gently in the evening after your usual cleanser and before moisturiser. New users typically apply this cream two or three times weekly for the first two weeks, then gradually increase to four or five times per week as your skin adapts. This measured approach helps your face build tolerance without irritation or sensitivity.
Where should you keep this cream once you bring it home?
Store the sealed tube in a cool, dark cupboard or drawer away from bathroom steam, direct heat, and bright windowsills, where warmth and moisture will degrade the retinol faster. Screw the cap firmly closed after each use, and keep it sealed at all times between applications. Stored correctly, your 20-gram tube will remain stable and effective for several months of regular evening use.
