How do I spot a genuine sealed bottle from a refilled or relabelled one?

Examine the bottle cap and neck seal carefully—genuine CeraVe packs arrive with an intact tamper-evident band that breaks when you open it for the first time. The label should feel smooth and professionally printed with crisp text and colours that match the official product images; any fading, misalignment, or peeling edges signal a refilled container. Check the batch code on the back label and cross-reference it through CeraVe's official channels if you have doubt, as counterfeit versions often carry invalid or recycled codes.

What is the right way to use this cleanser and how often should I apply it?

Wet the affected skin area with lukewarm water, apply a small amount of the cleanser, and gently massage it for a few seconds before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Most users incorporate this into their morning and evening washing routine as part of their regular hygiene practice. Start with minimal quantity to see how your skin responds, as salicylic acid formulas can feel strong if you are new to medicated cleansers.

What should a first-time user expect in the first week of use?

Your skin may feel slightly different as the cleanser works, and some people notice mild dryness or sensitivity when they begin using salicylic acid products. These reactions often settle within a few days as your skin adjusts to the formula. If irritation persists beyond one week or worsens, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider before continuing.
