How can you tell if this imported table and chair set is genuinely from Furnitex?
When you receive your Baby Study Table and Chair (FT-BST01) from ShampooBD, examine the packaging carefully because counterfeit or refilled versions do circulate in Bangladesh, and you deserve the real imported product you are paying for. The genuine Furnitex pack will have crisp, clear printing on all four sides of the box, with the model number FT-BST01 displayed prominently and consistently throughout, while counterfeit versions often show blurry text, misaligned logos, or spelling mistakes in the product description. Open the box and inspect the metal components—authentic imported pieces have smooth welds with no rough edges or paint drips, whereas locally refilled furniture often shows crude assembly marks or uneven finishing. The instruction manual inside should be printed on good-quality paper with numbered steps and a Furnitex company seal or hologram, not a photocopied sheet or handwritten notes. If the chair legs feel hollow or the table surface is flimsy plastic rather than composite material, you likely have a relabelled domestic product rather than the imported version Furnitex manufactures in China.
What is the right way to set up and use this table and chair for your child?
Before your child sits down to use this furniture, you should assemble it completely according to the instruction manual, ensuring that all bolts and fasteners are tightened firmly so the chair does not wobble and the table remains stable during reading or drawing activities. Place the set on a level, dry floor away from direct sunlight and heat sources, because exposure to extreme temperatures can warp the materials over time and make the joints loose. When your child uses it, they should sit with their back against the chair support, feet resting flat on the floor, and their hands at table height so their posture remains comfortable and their spine stays aligned during study or creative work. Do not overload the tabletop with heavy objects beyond what a young child would naturally place there, such as books, paper, crayons, and small toys, as the table is engineered for light educational use rather than storage of adult items. Wipe the surfaces regularly with a soft, damp cloth to keep them clean, and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers that could damage the finish.
How often should your child use this dedicated study space and what should you expect as a first-time user?
Your child can use this table and chair during regular learning times throughout the week, whether that means reading time, homework practice, drawing lessons, or writing activities, without any limit on frequency as long as the furniture is maintained properly and the child is comfortable. As a first-time user, you may notice that your child becomes more focused and willing to engage in quiet activities because having a dedicated space signals that learning time is happening, much like how sitting at a dinner table signals mealtime to young minds. The table height and chair size are proportioned for children in early elementary years, so you should expect your child to fit comfortably with good posture from roughly ages four through eight, though this varies depending on your child's height and build. Some parents report that children are more eager to practice reading or drawing when they have their own proper-sized furniture rather than being asked to sit at a full-sized desk where their feet dangle, and this psychological comfort often translates into longer concentration periods. During the first few weeks, take time to show your child how to sit properly and use the space, establishing a routine that makes studying feel like a normal part of their day.
What maintenance does this furniture need to stay in good condition year after year?
To keep your Baby Study Table and Chair set looking new and functioning safely, you should check all bolts and connections once every few months to ensure nothing has loosened through regular use, tightening any fasteners gently with an appropriate tool without over-tightening, which could strip the holes. Dust the table and chair regularly using a soft cloth or soft-bristled brush, and if sticky spills or marks accumulate, wipe them away promptly with a cloth barely dampened in plain water, avoiding soaking the wood or composite materials which could cause swelling or warping. Inspect the chair legs and table legs periodically for any signs of cracking, splintering, or damage, and if you notice any rough spots, sand them lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to prevent splinters that could harm your child's skin. Keep the set away from water, high humidity, direct sunlight through windows, and heat from radiators or air conditioning vents, because these environmental factors can cause the materials to warp, fade, or become brittle over time. If the finish becomes dull or scratched after several years of use, you may refresh it with furniture polish appropriate for the material type, but avoid using oil-based products on plastic components as these can leave sticky residue.
Are there any children or situations where this furniture may not be suitable?
This table and chair set is designed for children from approximately four years old and upward who can sit independently and understand basic safety instructions, so it is not appropriate for toddlers under three who may climb on the furniture or put small components in their mouths. If your child has mobility challenges, developmental delays, or behavioral conditions that make it difficult for them to sit still or follow safety rules, you should supervise their use closely and consult your child's healthcare provider about whether this furniture suits your child's specific needs and abilities. Children who are significantly taller or heavier than average for their age may outgrow this set quickly or find it uncomfortable, so measure your child before purchase to confirm the proportions will work for them. Do not allow older children or adults to use this furniture as it is engineered specifically for young learners and may not support adult weight safely, potentially causing collapse or injury.
