How can you spot a genuine imported AB-80 against a relabelled counterfeit pack?
When your AB-80 arrives from ukdirectbd, the packaging seal should show no signs of tampering, and the printed text on the box must be crisp and aligned perfectly without smudging or colour variations that suggest reprinting. Counterfeit versions often arrive in boxes where the label feels loose or where you can see glue residue around the edges, indicating someone has carefully peeled and reapplied a sticker rather than receiving factory-sealed stock. The serial number printed on both the box and the device itself should match exactly, and authentic units feature consistent font weight and spacing throughout all printed information, whereas refilled packs sometimes show faint or irregular numbering where a label has been printed separately.
Inside the box, genuine AB-80 units come with intact battery compartments that have never been opened, and the batteries themselves carry proper manufacturing dates rather than missing or blank labels. The plastic housing should feel uniform in thickness with no visible seams where different coloured plastic pieces have been glued together, as this indicates dismantling and reassembly. Counterfeit units sometimes arrive with a faint chemical smell or sticky residue on the finger clip mechanism, which suggests the device has been used before and then hastily cleaned for resale as new stock from an importer.
What is the correct way to use your AB-80 oximeter for the most accurate readings?
Before you place your finger inside the clip, ensure that your fingertip is clean and dry, as moisture or dirt can interfere with the sensor's ability to detect your blood oxygen levels and heart rate accurately. Your nail should be facing upward toward the sensor window, and you must insert your finger straight into the clip without twisting or angling it sideways, allowing the infrared light inside to make proper contact with the skin across your fingernail bed. Keep your hand relaxed and still for at least ten to fifteen seconds after the device powers on, as movement or tension in your muscles can cause the readings to fluctuate before stabilizing into a reliable number.
The display will show two separate readings once the sensor recognises your finger: one number represents your oxygen saturation level, while the other displays your pulse rate in beats per minute. You should wait for both numbers to stop changing and show a steady value before you trust the result, as premature reading can give you an inaccurate picture of your actual levels. Remove your finger gently when you are finished, and allow several minutes to pass before testing the same finger again if you wish to take another measurement and avoid sensor fatigue.
How frequently should you measure, and what should a new user expect from their first readings?
A first-time user often feels uncertain about what numbers to expect, and this device simply displays information about your blood oxygen and heart rate at the moment you take the measurement, with readings naturally varying depending on whether you are rested, active, sitting or standing. There is no single schedule you must follow, as some people find it helpful to check their readings at the same time each day to track patterns, while others prefer to measure whenever they are curious or want to understand how different activities affect their levels. The device imposes no limit on how many times you can use it throughout the day, though taking readings excessively within short time periods offers no additional benefit beyond normal daily monitoring.
New users are often surprised that readings change between fingers and between each measurement, which is completely normal because your body's oxygen and pulse respond to breathing patterns, movement, room temperature, and even the time of day. Your very first reading might feel alarming if you are unfamiliar with what the numbers mean, so remember that this device simply shows you information and does not make any judgement about whether your readings are concerning; if you have questions about what your specific readings mean for your health, you should speak with a healthcare provider. After a few weeks of regular use, you will develop familiarity with what your own typical readings look like, and any significant changes will become more obvious to you.
What should you know about storage and keeping your AB-80 in good working condition?
Your oximeter remains functional for years when you store it in a place that is cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight, which can fade the plastic housing and potentially affect the sensor over time. Never leave your device in a car on a hot day, near a radiator, or in any location where moisture accumulates such as a bathroom cabinet above the sink, as heat and humidity will gradually damage the internal electronics and shorten the lifespan of your batteries. The finger clip mechanism should be left in its open position when you store the device for extended periods, as keeping it clamped shut can weaken the spring tension and make it difficult to use properly when you need it again.
Check your batteries every few months if you use your AB-80 regularly, and replace them with fresh AAA batteries as soon as the display starts to dim or numbers appear slowly, as weakening batteries produce unreliable readings. The sensor window on the clip should be wiped gently with a dry cloth every few weeks to remove dust and fingerprints that accumulate over time and interfere with accurate measurements. If you accidentally get moisture on the device, wipe it immediately with a soft dry cloth and leave it unpowered in a warm room for several hours before using it again, as this helps any internal moisture evaporate completely.
Are there any reasons why someone might choose not to use this AB-80 device?
People with open wounds, severe skin damage, or significant swelling on their fingers should avoid placing their finger in the clip, as the pressure from the mechanism can cause discomfort and the sensor may not work properly over damaged skin or inflamed tissue. Those who have had finger or hand surgery should wait until their medical team confirms that their hand is fully healed before using any oximeter, as putting pressure on a healing area risks delaying recovery or causing pain. If you have very dark or heavily tattooed fingernails, the infrared sensor sometimes struggles to read through the pigmentation, and you may find that readings are slow to appear or display inconsistently, in which case you can try placing your finger in different angles or using a different finger that has lighter nails.
Individuals who are colour-blind do not face any barrier to using this device, as the readings appear as clear numbers on a digital screen rather than relying on colour coding to communicate results. People with certain nervous system conditions that affect sensation might not feel when to remove their finger, so a caregiver should supervise their use to prevent accidental over-tightening of the clip. If you take blood-thinning medications or have bleeding disorders, the clip's gentle pressure poses no risk, though you may notice slight redness that fades quickly after you remove your finger, which is a normal response to the sensor contact.
What information should you understand about delivery timeframes and the price displayed on this page?
The price shown on this page represents the cost of the AB-80 device itself including all accessories that come in the box, and this price does not include any delivery charge, which is calculated separately based on your delivery location within Bangladesh. Ukdirectbd processes orders on standard business days and arranges courier dispatch according to the nationwide logistics network, with your item travelling via established courier services that serve residential addresses across the country. The exact arrival timeframe depends on which region you are in, as deliveries to areas closer to major distribution hubs often arrive more quickly than shipments to remote locations, though nationwide courier services maintain consistent standards for tracking and updates.

If you live in a remote area or your address is difficult to locate, it is helpful to provide clear landmarks or phone contact to the delivery personnel to ensure smooth arrival. The delivery charge applicable to your purchase appears in your cart before you confirm payment, giving you the complete total cost including transport, and you can modify your delivery address up until the moment you complete checkout if you wish to change where the device should be sent.
