Aptamil Stage 4 Growing-Up Milk for 2-3 Year Toddlers: Bangladesh Review

Aptamil Stage 4 Growing-Up Milk (2-3 Years) in Bangladesh

Aptamil Stage 4 (Aptamil 4 Toddler Milk) is designed for toddlers aged 2 to 3 years who are eating a full varied diet but still benefit from the structured nutrition of a growing-up milk. Here is a complete review for Bangladesh parents.

What Is Aptamil Stage 4?

Aptamil Stage 4 is a growing-up milk for toddlers from 2 to 3 years. It is made by Nutricia (Danone) in the UK and contains a tailored nutrient blend to support the developmental needs of active 2-year-olds.

Key Nutritional Features

• Vitamin D (2.5mcg per 100ml): Higher than Stage 3 — many toddlers are Vitamin D deficient in Bangladesh
• Iron (1.5mg per 100ml): Supports energy and brain development
• GOS/FOS Prebiotics (0.8g): Gut health and immune support
• Calcium (100mg per 100ml): Bone and tooth development
• Omega-3 DHA: Brain and eye development
• Iodine: Thyroid function and cognitive development

Do 2-Year-Olds Still Need Formula?

By age 2, most children can drink regular cow's milk. However, growing-up milk like Aptamil Stage 4 offers significantly more iron, Vitamin D, and DHA than regular cow's milk. In Bangladesh where Vitamin D deficiency is common, many paediatricians recommend continuing growing-up milk through age 2-3. It is a personal and medical decision — consult your paediatrician.

Aptamil Stage 4 vs Cow & Gate Stage 4 vs NAN Optipro 4

All three are growing-up milks for 2-3 year toddlers. Aptamil and Cow & Gate are made by the same Nutricia/Danone factory with near-identical nutrition. NAN Optipro 4 is Nestlé's equivalent. The price difference (Aptamil > Cow & Gate > NAN 4) may guide your choice if nutritional needs are equal.

How Much Aptamil Stage 4 Per Day?

2 servings (400ml total) per day is typical for 2-3 year toddlers, alongside 3 balanced solid meals. Do not exceed 3 servings as excess can reduce appetite for solid foods.
