Choosing the Right Mosquito Net Size in Bangladesh
Buying the wrong size mosquito net is a common mistake. A net that is too small will not tuck properly under the mattress, leaving gaps for mosquitoes to enter. A net that is too large will pool on the floor and get damaged quickly.
Standard Bed Sizes and Matching Net Sizes
Single Bed (3x6 feet / 90x180cm)
Net size needed: 100-110cm width, 200-210cm height, 200cm length minimum.
Double Bed (4.5x6 feet / 135x180cm)
Net size needed: 140-150cm width, 200-210cm height, 200cm length minimum.
King Size Bed (5x6.5 feet / 152x198cm)
Net size needed: 160-180cm width, 210cm height minimum.
How to Measure for a Conical Net
A conical (round) net hangs from a single point above the bed. The key measurement is the circumference at the base. For a single bed you need at least 300cm circumference. For a double bed at least 380cm circumference.
How to Measure for a Box Net
Measure your bed length, width, and the height from bed to ceiling. Add 30cm to all sides for tucking and hanging room.
